My name is Brandon Romo and I’m a seasoned visual designer, fearless leader, professional disruptor, and (most importantly) a creative at heart.

I currently work at Avanade as a senior visual design consultant. Several years before that I graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in Modern Culture and Media. And in my spare time I love video games — I’m even building one right now!

Managing a firm’s rebrand rollout across multiple channels.

National accounting and consulting firm Wipfli underwent a massive brand overhaul for the first time in 20 years.

Working under the vision of the creative director, I translated a simple proof of concept into a multi-channel brand strategy and implementation. By evolving example mock-ups into comprehensive brand guidelines, I led a team of designers, content strategists and internal stakeholders to ensure the brand was rolled out consistently, efficiently and true to the original vision.

The brand was first introduced to external audiences through the launch of the firm’s annual report microsite, which won over external clients as well as internal leaders previously wary of changing the firm’s look and feel.

Gone were dated corporate suits, and in its place was a modern firm that valued curiosity and exploration in its consulting practice.

Setting the bar for luxury in a new market.

Real estate developer Taris Real Estate created a new ultra-luxury market when they broke ground on their condominium building in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. They needed a brand that would live up to the building’s state-of-the-art amenities.

I created the 900 West brand, inspired by its industrial-styled architecture, and developed a marketing campaign to spread awareness online, in print media, and at physical events. I worked with real estate brokers to define the target buyers, interior designers and 3D modelers to art direct the photo-realistic renderings, and a development team to bring the website to life.

The building kicked off with a launch party for brokers and interested buyers that well exceeded the venue’s capacity. And the development made headlines when it broke the record for most expensive purchase price in the neighborhood by four-fold.
